You and Me..
With all necessities we r blessed
But a multitude..
Are deprived n wretched.
We have parents n relatives
Who brace n care..
But not all are blessed
To have someone so dear.
A three-storied house
With residents only five..
And at the corner of same road
On footpath an old man abides.
In an extravagant restaurant
Multi-cuisines we eat..
And a poor family feeds upon
Left overs, dust n sun's heat.
We all wear branded clothes
A meter for 1000 bucks!!
And a beggar stitches his shirt
With old torn rags.
While in the parking
Stands our luxurious ride..
On the concrete road
A man with bare feet takes a stride.
Someone craves for shade of a tree..
While we are grumbling about power cut.
And while we moan over water shortage..
Someone suffices his thirst with sweat.
A million reasons to complain, we find..
Things we use abuse leave behind.
What we dont value and throw away..
For unprivileged is reason enough to live another day!!
